Cathryn Beeks has a new collection of songs that she’s recorded with longtime friend and producer, Jeff Berkley at Satellite, all performed by her bandmates in Jeff Berkley & The Banned. She’s calling it THE AFTER TIMES, as in, after what we’ve all been through in the past four years. For Cathryn, that includes the loss of her father and her beloved dog Penny; struggling with anxiety and panic attacks and surviving the social political landscape. There are some upbeat bangers, too, like ODE TO BILLY JOE and I LOVE RAMONA which garnered Cathryn a San Diego Music Award nomination for best folk or acoustic song.

Besides engineering, mixing and producing all of the songs, Jeff Berkley also played guitars and banjo. Josh Hermsmeier played drums, Rick Nash played bass, Josh Weinstein played keys and Ted Stern played pedal steel. Cathryn played ukulele, sang lead and backing vocals while Joshua Taylor and Sandi King of King Taylor Project provided additional backing vocals. All songs were mastered by Paul Abbott of Zen Mastering.

Cathryn is releasing The After Times exclusively to her Patreon Subscribers in an effort to encourage folks to subscribe for just $5 a month, which supports her Listen Local Show podcast featuring local music as well as all of her Listen Local endeavors. If you don’t subscribe, you can still hear the songs when Cathryn releases a music video to the public every 4 to 8 weeks. Additionally, The After Times will be added to Cathryn’s “Time Capsule” thumb drive that contains her entire catalog of music from the past 20 years (plus MUCH more!), and those will be available wherever Cathryn is playing or hosting.

"What a beautiful record. Also, some really ballsy and vulnerable lyrics, which I was very pleased to see. The paradox of I Love Ramona and You Wreck It is not lost on me. Congratulations. I hope people eat it up." Dave Howard
